Teploradist has been dealing with climate control, plumbing and heat-related equipment for over 8 years. The client had a large online store on OpenCart that had been fulfilling its tasks for many years. When the client wanted to expand their business, OpenCart modules began to create more difficulties than help, and the client decided to develop the site on something more flexible and modern, like Laravel.
OpenCart complicated the work of content managers, search engine optimization specialists, and the developers themselves, as most of the improvements and work with the content had to be done manually using modules that occasionally created technical difficulties. The decision to switch to Laravel made it possible to bypass these difficulties, significantly improving both the site's performance and the convenience of working on the project for various teams of specialists and users. In addition, Laravel made it possible to implement more complex technical solutions in a more flexible way, which also played an important role in favor of open source.
Since the client decided to develop a new website, we also made a complete redesign to improve the usability of the site for users and, consequently, conversions.
The client and I had to work hard with the site structure, because it was important to transfer the previous site structure due to the presence of SEO optimization, successfully transfer it, while expanding the original structure and creating a number of new pages, as it was easier to work with it now technically and from the content side.
The basic architecture of the site is a list of service pages; a catalog with filtering and related pages, such as product, favorite, comparison, and shopping cart pages; a personal account with everything you need. In other words, the classics of marketplaces without additional problems.
